Elizabeth Turner is from Coral Gables, Florida. In 2010, she graduated from Duke University where she earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees , one in Environmental Science and Policy and a second in Earth and Ocean Science. After college, Elizabeth took two years off and worked for a real estate development company, volunteered teaching Environmental Education, and worked for a nonprofit for K-12 and college students teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

She earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2015, as well as a Certificate in Environmental and Land Use Law. During law school, Elizabeth was an editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy, a member of the Environmental Moot Court team, and a clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of General Counsel in Washington, D.C.

After law school, Elizabeth served as a federal judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. Originally working for Judge Maurice M. Paul, she also served Judge Mark E. Walker and Judge Wm. Terrell Hodges after Judge Paul's passing.

Elizabeth moved to Lake County in 2017 and joined McLin Burnsed's Leesburg office. She is admitted to practice in all Florida courts as well as the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida and Northern District of Florida.
